OUR PROGRAMS

 

I am able to offer 3 distance education programs (in progress) for most grades, designed to help meet the unique learning needs of each student. Families also have the option of choosing subjects from varying programs.



Students are welcome to contact me as frequently as necessary during specified school hours. The Ministry of Education expects a minimum of a weekly student/teacher contact.

 

You will be required to submit three student portfolios  for assessment on dates specified by the school. Items to be included in the portfolio will be specified by myself with ample time to comply.

 

School Standard Program (SS)

In this program​ the student has everything prepared for the school year maximizing Accerlerated Christian Education (ACE) curriculum, primarily using paces. The ACE curriculum consists of daily lesson plans and corresponding workbook activities. This easy to follow program is supplemented by teacher designed wholesome activities that encourage students to engage in learning in a variety of ways, while ensuring that your child fully meets the prescribed learning outcomes set out by the Ministry of Education. 

 

Teacher Desgined Program (TD)

Teacher Designed are christian courses approved by the Education Committee that satisfy the BC Ministry of Education Prescribed Learning Outcomes. The student has everything prepared for the school year. These courses will maximize the use of Christian Worldview text materials.

 

 

Individualized Program (IN)

The Individualized courses allows parents, in consultation with their Anchor teacher, to select preferred Christian curricula for the student. BC parents and students enrolled in the Individualized Program will start with an interview with their teacher to decide course choice and curriculum needs. Together you and the teacher will have the freedom to create a unique Student Learning Plan that suits the academic needs of your family while meeting the Prescrined Learning Outcomes required by the Ministry of Education
